The 1st 2 images of ruins - I wasn't sure what they were at first but I was fascinated by the look of them. Then I started to spot them on other building sites in Malaysia and realised they are foundation stages of a structure that never got any further. These ones are particularly interesting because they are in the heart of the city and have been left so long trees have grown around them. This makes it a shady area during the day and people sometimes rest on the columns.
I think this is fascinating. Abandoned foundations - they look like monuments or memorials for something, but they are the opposite in a way, because they never became anything.
(Mutually Advantageous) Association was formed by Nina Chua, Ying Kwok, Jessica Longmore and Sarah Sanders to explore the potential of collaboration through a series of experiments. They have set out to achieve together and through interaction with others, what could not be achieved alone.
I really like this series of photos! Do you know what the first two are ruins of? They look fascinating.
ReplyDeletePhoto no. 4 is really strong too - I wonder why they left those pillars when they demolished the building (is that what happened?)
