An Experience
At an early Mutually Advantageous Association meeting we decided that each of the 4 artists involved would provide an experience for the other 3 artists, to give an insight into each individual practice. Nina was the first artist to deliver one of these such experiences. What we were invited to explore was the unique and highly unusual venue that Nina uses as a studio. The Two Mysteries continued...
Before the summer and before we all departed for various, disparate projects and locations, we, as Mutually Advantageous Association set several texts as suggested summer reading. To this list curator and artist, Sophia Hao, added Marina Abramovic's Seven Easy Pieces, alongside a note to consider the ways in which live art and ephemeral works can be documented. At the time this exercise seemed on a tangent from other considerations and points we had discussed but, we were newly formed and looking for ways to move forward and so we accepted the task.
Visibility
Following the last meeting we decided to take the blog offline, or rather make it only visible to the authors. This was to stimulate blog activity. I was just wondering whether the other member feel we are ready to go back online?

This is a selection of images I took during my residency at Rogue Project Space this Summer. Having read the suggested texts, these images seemed particularly pertinent.

A Discovery of Space
These images document the discovery of particular, public and private spaces in Malaysia.
The images are documented here in the same order as they were shown during our last meeting at the Chinese Arts Centre however, I have omitted four images from display as a mark of respect to the householders.
These images were taken at the start of the collaborative process, with Mutually Advantageous Association - Jess, Sarah, Ying - in mind.
